Cameron's Letter Jan 23, 2012

Dear Everyone important to me!
I guess that's good that y'all are getting rain/snow now, but that stinks that it is starting to flood places!
Things are going good with Elder Wintrode and I talked about stuff and it will take a little longer for things to change, but we talked about things that we would like to change and do better at and now we just have to start putting things into effect.

Well that would be cool to go back to school and get a degree!! I will keep you in my prayers!

Laura is doing the Miss Eagle Mountain pageant?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? That's awesome/crazy/weird for me to wrap my head around!!!! Well if that's what Laura wants to do then that's great!!! You keep working out Laura!!! That's awesome that Emily will be an assistant stage manager!! Go get 'em Em!!! That's cool that Ammon is coming home in a month and a half!!! Time is flying by!!!!

This week was the best week we have had in a long time! We have 3 new investigators!! On tuesday we did a tradeoff with the Zone Leaders, I went with Elder Littlefield in Crestview 1st and Elder Wintrode and Elder Mallory were in Crestview 2nd. I learned alot from Elder Littlefield, like stopping and talking to people when we are on bikes (unfortunately when we go out we never see people, but that's mostly because we bike along major roads here), and a few other things. Elder Wintrode and Elder Mallory went with the 1st councelor in the Bishopric to see a part member family we are trying to work with and set a time for us to see them yesturday, but they had to cancel and set another time to go by. And that was our first new investigator, her name is Megan, and she is very nice and we can't wait to teach her!!
Wednesday was Zone Conference and that was really good! And after we got home the Niceville Sisters called (we missed the call) to say one of their investigators moved into our area. The Zone Leaders went to see her to she if she was in our area or DeFuniak Springs Elders area. She was in our area and we called her and invited her to church and she came! But sad thing is that she will be moving to DeFuniak Springs at the beginning of February and we will hand her off to those Elders there.
Thursday was Game Night and we had alot of people there! And we had a potential investigator named Junior come and afterwards we set a time to go teach him on Saturday.
Saturday we did service and dug 2 1/2 feet down along 50 feet of ground for a septic line! And then put the new line in and gravel underneath it! That was good! Then we had one of the members who will be going on his mission to Utah Salt Lake City South coming to drive us places put he had to cancel because he didn't have alot of gas. So we were able to get the Young Mens President to give us rides (we had dinner at his house that night and our lesson with Junior was only a few streets over so it was to save on gas). Our lesson with Junior went alright, we need to work more on testifying in our lessons. We are going to see Junior again on Tuesday.
I am working on reading all the lessons because during Juniors lesson I was struggling to teach some things and I decided that I will read the lessons to get a better understanding of what we are to teach! It's going very well so far, I think it was just the lack of teaching that helped out in me forgeting some of the things we teach.
But that will do it for this letter! I love everyone who is reading this and I will talk to y'all next week!!

Love,
Elder Cameron Williams

Cameron's Letter Jan 17, 2012

To my Family and Friends,
Yep unfortuantely I didn't get to email yesturday and I was really bored!! With no emailing and no mail I had nothing really to do!! I just read and watched a movie and did some cleaning. I read the email about Julie and Brian! That's scary!!! I can't imagine how that must feel!! I will pray for them! Dang! That's awesome that Tanin is going to Orlando for his mission!!! It's close to what I predicted! I wish hoping he would come here, but we will be in the same state for 6-7 months! Sounds like another tiring week for you mum! And I will still send home some more things, but I decided to wait until February to send more home!
Yep I got the 4 tires!! So I am stocked for a while I hope!!!
The weather here can't make up it's mind right now! It's hot, then it's cold, then it's hot, then it's cold!! It's kinda like Utah weather!! Haha!!
Well this week has been slow again, but no really good end to this week, and on top of things Elder Wintrode and I argue a fair amount, I am going to try and see if we can fix that. We got to see Chris this last week after he went to North Carolina for a week. He was going to come to church but then he got Pink Eye!! Grrrrr!! Pink Eye!! Yesturday Elder Littlefield made me a cake for my year mark, and that is one of the photos! It was pretty cool!!! And then other photo I found in a less actives flower bed! It is legit!!! Umm I can't think of anything else to say right now, but I took pictures of our house and I will send those in other emails! I'm sorry this is short! I love y'all and I pray for y'all!!
Love,
Elder Cameron Williams

Cameron's Letter Jan 9, 2012

Dear Family and Friends,
It is offical! We have moved from our apartment to a house! The address is:
2942 Second Ave
Crestview, FL 32536
(I spelt out Second because that's the way it is on our street sign. I don't know if it will make a difference between that and 2nd Ave)
It is a cozy place! It's got a grandparents house feel to it, an older brick house. I will take pictures this week and email them to y'all next week.
The shoes are good! Elder Roberts had some Shoe Goo that I use to patch up my shoes!

It sounds like you had a fun week at work Mum! Haha! Are you working more now then when I was home? Because it sure seems like it! Not that it matters, I'm just wondering.
That's too bad that Emily's team lost! Just keep working hard Emily and you will get better!!!
That's not good that Sister Thompson has to go to the specialty hospital for 6 weeks!! I hope she heals quickly!
Finally got snow eh? Haha! That's good! "The weather!?! Very peculiar!?! Don't you think?" What is this world coming too? Haha!
Yes Dad told me that he is teaching Primary!! That's fun that he gets that class!!

Yep! On Thursday it will have been a year since I went into the MTC!?! It's crazy how quickly that time has past!! And this year will go by fast as well!! I will be home before you can shake a stick! Haha!

That's awesome that Sean is married now!!! What wonderful news!

Well this week was slow until yesterday, and yesterday made the whole week! After Church we got on our bikes and went to see a less active, but he doesn't live there any more. On the way from the house my tire started getting flat! So we biked home. And it started raining on us while we were coming home, and I personally was feeling down in the dumps. Then we got in the car and went to go see more less actives. One of the less actives didn't live there any more and it was his parents house so they gave us his address and it was in our area! Then we went next door to the parents house and another less active lives there. He was a very nice man and he is from Utah! His wife is from here and the decided on a whim to move down here. They would vacation here, but he doesn't like living here. When he retires from his government job he is going to try and sell his house and move to the St George area, and he said we could visit him at another time (he had to finish doing some painting). Then we went to see another less active but they weren't home. So then we went to that less actives house that we got his address from his parents. His name is Cory and he invited us in and we met his wife Megan (nonmember) and we talked with them for a while. Then when we were going to leave we asked if Megan would be interested in learning about the Church. She said she is interested, but she needs to first figure out her school schedule before she gives a diffinent answer!! It was really cool!!! And I recognized it as the beginning of Heavenly Father answering my prayers! We have not had any new investigators for the last 3-4 weeks and I have been praying alot that we could get new investigators and I fasted for it too!! And it's just wonderful to see how the Lord is answering our prayers! And our ward is awesome! They always ask us what they can do for us and it's great to know that they are willing to help us out!! But all that just made the week 10 times better!! We just need to keep going!!! I love doing this work and I am working on being 10 times more familiar with the Lessons in Preach My Gospel. I just started last night and already it has been a great feeling and blessing!!! And on Saturday we had a run in with a Baptist preacher who told us that we shouldn't believe everything we were taught as kids and that we need to come to know that the Bible is the only word of God. We weren't going to get any where with him. He was just someone Satan put in our path to hold us up! I feel bad for everyone that thinks they know the truth but there is SOOOO much more that is available that we help them and they take it as false doctrine!! Well I think that'll about do it for this email! Thank y'all for your thoughts and prayers on my behalf! I love everyone of ya!!!! Never forget that!!!
Love,
Elder Cameron Williams

Cameron's Letter Jan 3, 2012

Dear Family and Friends of all ages!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS

We didn't really do anything outside the normal missionary life. We had to be in by 7 though as a safety precaution (I almost forgot how to spell caution! haha!!), and we just got into PJs, turned on the Christmas tree, listened to Elder Wintrode read his letters out loud, and did a couple of Mad Libs! I don't think we had to be in bed at the usual time but we did anyway because everyone was tired. Elder Wintrode and I got woken up by fireworks and people shouting! Oh and Elder Wintrode talks in his sleep sometimes and I think he may sleep walk because one night (in the middle of the night) I had woken up for a second and I heard ask if that was mine. I looked at him. He was sitting at the foot of his bed looking at the wall (I didn't say anything. The door was open and we always have the door shut at night), he shut the door and crawled into bed. I asked him the next day what he was doing that night and he didn't know what I was talking about. So we think he sleep walks, but we aren't sure. I would use my camera, but I don't think it has enough life to last all night! Haha! I might be able to record it on my MP3 player!
We have church at 9 am now. There are now 3 units that meet in our building, Crestview 2nd meets at 9, Olive Branch meets at 11, and Crestview 1st meets at 1.
Wow!!! Jordan leaves on my 14 month mark!!!!! That's crazy!!!

I did get the package with the shoes and the glasses! Thank you for sending them! The glasses fit great!
Sounds like y'all had a great Christmas and New Years!!! Full of family fun!! That's awesome that you got Netflix set up!! That will be more cheaper than buying movies!! They probably won't be putting movies on DVD or video in the next couple years if everyone is getting Netflix!! haha!!
Emily!!! Stop growing up!!!! You can't be a teenager!! You are too young to be a teen!!! haha!!! Yay!!!!!! BYU won!!! Looks like it was an intense game!!

Yay!!!!! More furniture!!!! Where is the brown chair that you replaced?? You should see if the missionaries want the couch or something!

Dang Laura! Why are you sick?? You need to go to school!

I wish you could send me Village Pizza!!! But I guess I will have to wait until my homecoming dinner!!!!!

Well this week was a little slow numbers wise. We taught another lesson to our investigator Chris. He is progressing slowly, but hey! Progress from Atheism to Agnostic with a desire to believe is great!! He wants to do what's right but he also doesn't want to change from his current life of drinking and going out and having "fun." But we will keep working with him! On the 30th was Elder Littlefield's (one of the Zone Leaders) birthday, and we made him a cake and bought him some presents! It was alot of fun!!! I also got to use the Happy Birthday sign you gave me again!!! It was alot of fun and he LOVED it! We also got to do alot of service! We got to help pull up linoleum (I don't think I spelt that right), it took a couple of trips over there to finish the job! Oh! This week is transfers and I am staying here in Crestview 2nd and one of the Zone Leaders is going to Pace which is right next to Milton! We are all sad about him leaving! We are probably moving sometime this week/ weekend. The address for the new place is:
2942 2nd Ave
Crestview, FL 32536
Y'all can start sending stuff on Friday, we should get in there by next Monday. Well I think that will do for this email! I love y'all and I will talk to y'all next week!
