Cameron's Letter Dec 27, 2011

Dear Family and Friends,
Yep the library was closed :( but that's ok! It was great to be able to Skype y'all!! And to see a little bit of what the changes have been to the house!! Oh! I made Slush yesturday! I don't think I blended the banana in enough (there were a couple of small chunks folating when I put it in with the rest of the mixture) but we will find out. We are going to save the Slush until New Years Eve!
Sounds like a pretty good week!!! Full of service for others and having fun!! That's great!
I do not have the address for my new place yet, I will probably find out in the next week or 2. Transfers are on the 4th and we are going to wait to see if any of us are being transfered before we move in to the new place! I will find out transfer info next week and I will let you know if I am staying or going. I'm pretty sure I will be staying, but it's not unheard of to only be in an area for a transfer!
This week was slow, we had alot of bad weather (rain) which prevented us from going out because we are trying to save as many miles as we can on the car and since we are supposed to go out in the rain that makes it hard to do stuff! We did have a very good lesson with an investigator named Mark, we watched The Restoration and then bore testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon! It was really good!! And now he finally has his own copy of the Book of Mormon!! Unfortunately when the Olive branch gets a Senior Missionary couple he will no longer be our investigator because the boundaries are going to change at the beginning of the year! But it will be good for the Olive branch! I am now in Moroni 8 and I will finish either tomorrow or Thursday!! It's exciting!! We have a TON of food!!!! Alot of sweets too!! Well I can't think of anything else that was really exciting this week. Sorry this is so short I love y'all and hope y'all had a great Christmas and I wish you a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Cameron's Letter Dec 19, 2011

Dear Family and Friends!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL!!!!!!! Falalalala lalalala!!!

I did open the package and I thought it was great!! Unfortunately something poked a hole in the jam bag and the powder got everywhere in the package! So no jam. But it was great! Thank you very much!!! Everything was/is great!

That's cool that Emily had a choir concert!! I'm sure she did great! Emily we need to figure out a way so that you can score more points in your basketball games!! Try and get 4 points in your next game and keep setting it a little higher for each game!! You will do great!!

What kind of couch are you going to get for the basement??? You should get an L shaped one for the basement!! That would be cool!!!

That's good that you are serving others!! That always makes me feel good!!

So this week was good! On tuesday we had a half mission Christmas party!! It was great to see people! Even a guy that I graduated with was there!! It was alot of fun, but we had to leave just before we were going to watch 17 Miracles because we had to go to the church and start filling up the baptismal font and boil water so that the water wouldn't be freezing for our baptism that evening. We baptized a girl named Rebecca! Sorry I forgot to tell you we were having a baptism last week! It went very well! Her dad baptized her! And that's what the picture is, me, Elder Kanis, Rebecca, her dad, and Elder Wintrode. On Saturday we had a ward Christmas party and some members couldn't find anyone to play Santa, at the party they got Elder Kanis to do it but unfortunately all the kids knew it was him! Haha!! It was pretty funny and he sounded alot like Mickey Mouse! haha!!! And yesturday Elder Kanis went to stay at the mission home and he flew out today (he is going to be home for Christmas). Now it's just Elder Wintrode and I. But that's pretty much all this week had, it wasn't the most eventful week, but it was alright! I might get to Skype on Christmas, but I won't find out until Sunday. If I will get to Skype I will call right before and get the info for Skype and talk with y'all. If not then I will just call. But I can't wait to talk to you! Oh and President Jensen said that when you send letters to me send them to my address where I am at because it is starting to get too expensive to pay for an additional stamp to forward all the letters they get. They will still collect them and they will bring them the next time they are coming my way (so alot like how Jamie's mission mail thing is). Well I think that will do for now. I will talk to y'all later! I love y'all!!!

Love,

Cameron's Letter Dec 12, 2011

Hello Family and Friends!!
Yes I did get the package! Thank you! The other Elders in my apartment said that I am not allowed to open it until Christmas so I don't know what's in it.

Your week sounds alot like my week! A blur! This week FLEW by!!! It was crazy! I realized Friday or Saturday that the week was almost over and it seems like it had just started!!! It was nuts!
Awww going to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights!! I miss those fun events! Wow! I thought that you would already have the Christmas Decorations up! But that's good that they are up! We have a 7 foot Christmas tree in our apartment! At least it's a Christmas tree!

I'm not sure what time I will be able to call on Christmas, but I will let you know next week probably! Now is that your time (10:30-4pm) or my time?

Sounds like a fun week!! That's great that Emily's basketball team won!!! You know Emily that you gotta work hard to improve!! Coach Robinson told us (the boys basketball team) that Chris or Kyle Collinsworth (whichever is younger and Dad can tell you a little about him) would practice basketball for 5-6 hours everyday during the summer! Now I don't expect you to do that right now but just keep getting better so that you will be able to make it on the High school basketball team!! That will be alot of fun!!

Well this week was a little slow numbers wise but biking for 30+ minutes at a time makes time go by faster! We had 2 lessons with Rebecca this week. Her baptism is on Tuesday Dec 13th and she is really excited about it! Her dad is going to baptize her! On Friday we were invited to go to the Olive Branches Christmas Party so that I could interview one of the senior missionaries investigators who was going to get baptized this Saturday (I think). The food was really good, but he didn't show up to the party so we drove to his house and I interviewed him there. And last night we had an "Evening of Music" where people picked songs about Jesus Christ and performed them. We invited nonmembers there but unfortunately not very many came. But it was very good! I think y'all would have enjoyed it! And after we had cookies, cake, and ice cream for refreshments! But that's really it for this week. This starting week will be fun, we have our 1/2 mission Christmas Party on Tuesday, our Ward Christmas party on Saturday, and Elder Kanis will be gone by next monday. So I will tell y'all about all those things!! Well I love y'all and miss y'all!!!
Love,

Cameron's Letter Dec 5, 2011

Dear Everyone!!!!!
This was a good week! We share a car with the other Crestview missionaries, so sometimes we have to coordinate with them. The 3 some is alright, I'm still trying to get use to it. haha! I am living in a two bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom apartment. It is a cozy little place but it works for us! The address is:
821 Arbor Lake Dr
Crestview, FL 32536
And yes there are just 2 wards in Crestview.
Well I am on the internet now around 9-11ish your time so it's earlier than 10 o'clock your time.
Christmas baking I would like: tarts, cheese cake cookies, m&m chocolate cookies, a recipe for slush, and poppy seed bread please!!!
I'm glad that you have gotten almost all your christmas shopping done!!!
Happy Aniversary Mom and Dad!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fun week for y'all! YAY Dad finished taping the basement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to be surprised!!!! That's great that Emily is getting better at basketball!!! Let me know the scores of her games please!!! Speaking of that could you let me know how the Westlake Basketball team is doing?? Please!!!!
I was able to watch the Christmas devotional last night! Us 5 missionaries had to set it up because we were the only ones at the Church! It was really good!!! I loved the video!!!
I also loved President Monson's talk and I think I'm going to read the books he talked about when I come home!!!
Wow! Some winds really got that strong?!? When are y'all supposed to get some snow??? Haha!!! And I will be staying in Crestview for Christmas, I will be here until at least January 4th!! Which will probably come quickly!! But I think I will be staying here for a while!
This week has been pretty good! Last tuesday was my first district meeting as district leader, it went well! We didn't do as much as I was hoping we would do, but oh well!! We had 2 lessons with our investigator with a baptismal date, Rebbecca, and she can't wait for her baptism! It's exciting! We have taught her alot of the commandments and have a few more to teach her, but all is going well! We also showed her the baptismal font and she felt the spirit so strong! Her Dad is going to baptize her! We found a new investigator named Chris through a less active member, I think he is the less actives boyfriend, and we taught him the first lesson and committed him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and to come to church!!! Which he did come to church!! Right now in my reading of the Book of Mormon is 3 Nephi 8, it is really sad how quick the Nephites are to do iniquity one page they are righteous and the next page they are wicked!! It's crazy/sad! But I'm getting to the most exciting part!! Well that does it for my week, I love y'all soooooo much!!! I'll talk to you next week!
Love,
Elder Cameron Williams
