Dear Family,
Richie is going to Mongolia?!? That's crazy! They had better watch out because he WILL convert the entire country! Well I guess Richie will be at the Cabin before he goes!
Wow we haven't gotten rain for about 2ish weeks, and I guess that it is suppossed to rain sometime soon, and alot of the people down here feel like this hurricane season that they won't get off easy. So I may get to be in a hurricane.
How has my faith increased? Well with all the scripture studying I do I read alot about the scriptures and it has helped me to know that if I remain faithful to this work and the Lord then I will be a better person and I will become more steadfast and immovable!
Well this week wasn't a great week, we found a lady while tracting last sunday and we went back on tuesday and taught lesson 1 and set a time to go back on thursday but she wasn't home thursday. We left a passalong card and told her to call us. We got a call, but it was from her boyfriend, and he told us not to come back and that she was too shy to tell us she wasn't interested. He also said that if yall don't watch tv why give her DVD's and confuse her (we told her that just as missionaries don't watch tv, I guess we will have to be more specific next time) that put a bad mood over us, and we were going to have a scripture study class later, nobody showed up for it. Also this week alot of our appointments with investigators fell through and so we only had about 4-5 lessons with investigators. A very slow week. Pamala finally came back from a road trip so we got in with her and started the new member lessons. We actually got her brother Lane to let us come back and teach him the gospel, so we got a new investigator outta him. The Tasha and Kevin are doing fine, Kevin and Joey got into a fight and Kevin kicked Joey out. Joey wasn't willing to change his ways, he was more of just a 3 hour Mormon, like he said what we as Mormons taught is true, but he doesn't live it unfortunately. The girls are doing well too and actually their friend Ladessa (lives next door) has been coming to teach with them and she I guess asked to come to church. We are going to see if she would like to have lessons taught to her. Oh and Kevin sprained his ankle playing basketball haha! Is there a difference between rolling an ankle and spraining an ankle?
I presume yall survived the Rapture on Saturday haha we have been making fun of that guy because we know that no man knows the time nor the hour!
Oh!!! I almost forgot! We have an investigator named Ronald, the Pace missionaries found him and set a BCD with him on the first lesson! They found out he lived in our area, and gave him to us. His baptism was set for this saturday but that isn't going to work out so we have to push it back a week or 2, but he is AWESOME!!! (He says "that's awesome!" alot) We are going to meet with him tonight! It's exciting! So yeah, that's all of my week, I hope you all are doing well and I love yall! Stay true to the faith!

Dear Everybody,
My work has been going well, ever since Zone Conference on Thursday (we learned that if we emphasize baptism and the atonement we will get more baptisms) Satan has been showing alot! A TON of distractions in our lessons with investigators, and alot of them since have been extremely close to setting a baptismal date when distractions come up and we have to end the lesson because of the distractions! It stinks, but we are going to work through it! He won't keep us down for long!
That's really cool that Richie will get his mission call soon! He is gonna come join me here in the Florida! :)
Yay Emily!!!! You have finally given a talk!!! Great job!
What I have learned that I wish I knew before my mission?
That is a good question. Right now I can't think of anything.
What advice would I give to Richie to help him prepare for his mission?
Well I would tell him to never give up and to study the scriptures alot! Oh and don't let things get to you!
Of course ya'll are going to miss my help in the garden! You won't have a strong, strapping man to help ya! I hope that you guys can get it planted without me!
This week has been an interesting week. I made a fantastic Pistachio Pie last monday!! It was awesome! I got the recipe from the members that let me Skype! Ok, before I continue, we have been asked to tell our families not to use the last name of any of our investigators because I guess there has been an increase in Anti people here in the south and they have been going after recent converts and investigators, and they are tracking them down by trying to find blogs and other things missionaries sent home to get last names. Ok, we taught Seyveon on Tuesday and his girlfriend Erika joined in this time and we taught the Plan of Salvation, they liked that we went more into details and that when other people have told them about where we come from, why we are here, and where we are going, they don't go into detail like we did! Hopefully we will get a baptismal date with them soon, they were one of the lessons that came really close to a BCD (Baptism and Confirmation Date) on Friday, but there were many distractions! Wednesday we saw Allen again, and he was another one that came close to a BCD! We will get some this week! So we went over to see Tasha and the fam, but we might not be going over there as much any more until Tasha either moves out or marries Kevin, or when Jada becomes 8. But we still aren't sure about not going over there. On Saturday we went to the nearby biking paved trail and drew the plan of salvation on it! Those are the pictures if you can't tell yet haha! Oh and Zone Conference picture! Church was great! We got to relax a little! And Joey brought a friend, and in Sunday School we kinda turned it into a lesson with an investigator and we were also very close with getting a BCD with him too!
Well that's my week! I hope you all have a good week and you should help Emily set up an email acount and Laura and Emily should email me too! And of course you too Dad! I love you guys!!! Don't die!

Dear Family,
Yes it was indeed great to see and talk to ya'll! It was awesome! I am EXTREMELY grateful that the Lakers are out! And they were swept! MWAHAHAHA!!!
My mission has changed me a ton! I have read the scriptures more than I ever have and I learn from it by talking with the other Elders in the apartment! I have also come alot closer to God and I believe he is changing my weaknesses! And the feeling I get from helping people come unto Christ is the greatest feeling anyone could feel on this Earth!
We really haven't done much service for those we teach because whenever we ask them if they need help with anything they always say no. Most of the service we have done is for members and I think it helps form more trust between us (which is good).
Here are the events of my week.
Last monday after we emailed and shopped we went with some member kids and rode our bikes on the Blackwater River Trail! It was a lot of fun, but after my behind was very sore! It was a fun thing to do on our P-day!
We are teaching a boy named Seyveon, and he has had a very rough life, he is 17 and has been kicked out of many schools. We are trying to help him come closer to Christ so that it can help his life get a lot better! Also we are teaching Laura D, she suffers from depression and a couple other things, we are also trying to help her because we know that the gospel can help her out! We finally got hold of Allen on Wednesday! It was great! He was still interested and he had been reading in the Book of Mormon! He also came to church! We keep trying to get in to talk with a potential investigator but she is extremely busy! We hopefully will be able to get in with her this week, (her name is Marie). We checked on another potential named Mike, but he did some research into our church and said that he didn't like the way we did some things (he didn't like how we had the president of the church and 12 apostles mostly). We gave him a Book of Mormon to read and hopefully he will read it with a sincere heart!
We are going to try 2 new ways of finding: We are putting a "free" ad in the local newspaper for a scriptrue study class, and we are going to put our names on the clergy list at the local hospital to help people in crisis or who want to see someone! Hopefully we can get investigators from it! And Saturday was Pamala's baptism! It was great! She is really grateful to us for teaching her the gospel! It's a great feeling! Baptisms are great! I will include some pictures.

Hello everyone!
Mom asked: Have you gotten blown away by any tornados/hurricanes? Nope I have not gotten blown away!
Mom asked: Are you enjoying your Easter Candy? My Easter Candy is great! I am sharing it with the other Elders.
Mom asked: Is Pamela getting baptized soon? Yes, Pamela is getting baptized this Saturday (May 7th)! We are excited! I will attach pictures of us and the girls at their baptisms! I baptized Savannah and Elder Adam baptized Jamie!
I heard Hop was a good movie, but I don't want you guys to tell me anything about any movies! Especially those that are coming out in the next 3-4 months! It's just going to torture me more!

Good News (about Osama bin Laden)! It (terrorism)may get worse for a while, but I think that it could die down! That would be good, or are these the robbers (Gaddianton robbers) of this age?? A thought provoking question! I just came up with that! haha! Don't quote me on that!
We could maybe skype but I'd have to find someone with it. And I was told that Jamie could call me, Jamie you can call me I will send the number I will be using in a different email, but I was planning on calling around 6ish your time. I will call someones cell phone around that time!
Mullins, umm I'm not sure. I don't know his dad, he lives with his mom and step-dad.
What have I learned or what experiences have I had that would encourage the youth to want to serve a mission?
- I would say that just watching someone come closer to Christ I think is one of THE greatest things we can feel on this Earth and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world! And that we need to forget ourselves and put others first! That is when Heavenly Father can help us out! If you are sharing this with the youth then, all of you should make the choice right now whether you want to go on a mission or not, so that when the time does come that it will be an easy because you have already made that choice! Make the decision and never change it! You will grow SIGNIFICANTLY while serving a mission! And I'm sure you will grow even after a mission! (I just haven't gotten to that point yet! haha)
I'm grateful that I could be an example to people, but we all should look to Chirst for the perfect example! That is who we should be like!
It was a tiring week this week. Alot of good was done but we still have a lot of work to do! Tuesday and Wednesday were very crazy and tiring days. We were all over the place! We found a new investigator through looking at our Former Investigators. One of the (FI) daughter's, Laura, we are teaching now. She was extremely happy that we came by and talked with her, but she didn't keep the following appointment because she had to help her sister with somethin, but she told us she has been praying and reading the Book of Mormon! We are excited for her! We have also found some potential investigators and we will go try and see them again before the end of this week! And Saturday was Savannah's and Jamie's baptisms! They didn't think that the white jumpsuits they wore were very attractive, but they were baptized! Not to brag but I didn't mess up on the baptism, and Elder Adam was a space cadet, (those were his words) because he first said Savannah instead of Jamie, and then he forgot part of the parts. But they were both baptized and it was great! Sunday they were confirmed and it was really cool to be apart of it! Bishop Wilson and Brother Hathaway (2nd counselor in Bishopric) did the confirmations! Another confirmation will happen next week with Pamela! Well that's all I have to report! Elder Adam and I are going to work on not havng alot of down time, and try to be as busy as we can!
